    This is the first course in a four part series that will provide students with the knowledge to support the various features of Microsoft Internet Information Server 4.0. Participants will gain an understanding of the product's architecture and perform the procedures to install, configure, and implement Internet Information Server.

    Objectives

    Unit 1: Introducing IIS 4.0 1 - 2 hours

    - Match the components of IIS 4.0 with the type of support they provide to clients.
    - Match the HTTP 1.1 features of IIS 4.0 with the tasks that they enable on the server.
    - Match the services that enable an integrated setup and administrations of IIS 4.0 with their features.

    - Configure the options provided by the FTP Security Accounts tab.

    - Populate the FTP site with text files on IIS 4.0.
    - Transfer files by using the command line FTP client.
    - Configure the FTP port to prevent a users from logging into the FTP site.
    - Test the modified FTP port by using the command line FTP client.
