  • Inhalt Course Overview

    This series covers basic installation, operation, and troubleshooting operating systems on workstations and servers. The learner will be able to explain fundamental open source resources/licenses, demonstrate knowledge of user administration, understand file permissions/software configurations and manage local storage devices and network protocols. When all five courses are taken in the Linux+ series (16260, 16261, 16262, 16263, & 16264), this is an authorized self-study program to help prepare learners for the CompTIA Linux+ certification exam.

    Unit 2: Installing and Configuring Linux 2 hours

    - Identify different methods to install Linux.
    - Install Fedora for configuring a Linux host.
    - Install SUSE for configuring a Linux server.
    - Install Slackware for configuring a Linux server.
    - Identify steps for configuring LVM and RAID during Linux installation.
    - Identify types of filesystems supported in Linux.
    - Identify guidelines for creating filesystems.
    - Identify characteristics of tools used for installing and managing software.
    - Identify features of boot loaders.
    - Identify steps for configuring the network.

    Course Access

    Each student has access to the course for a period of 6 months from the day of enrollment in the course.
