In six to eight intensive seminars (=modules; two to three modules per semester) the latest innovations in urban strategies will be analyzed and improved upon step by step. To facilitate a wide-ranging dialogue between teachers and participants, the modules will be held by guest professors and cutting-edge architects from well-known institutions from all over the world.
Each program will have its own “Theme of the Year”, which will be covered in lectures, discussion panels and workshops in small, team-oriented groups. Further, each guest lecturer will present an individual topic within the frame-work of the theme, which will be investigated by the participants by carrying out short assignments and projects. By means of the “Theme of the Year”, urban strategies will be analyzed and dealt with in theory in order to develop solutions and design concepts. Workshops will give participants the chance to discuss and evaluate the progress of their projects with the guest lecturers.
The thesis project, which will be presented and discussed at a final event, will commence the program.
Head of program Wolf D. Prix and his assistants will be introducing the participants to the subject matter and further mentor the participants through-out the program. The guest instructors will contribute the various topics, which will be relevant to the “Theme of the Year”.
